Blunted works well on very curly or frizzy hair, if you dont blunt them they will likely blunt themselves which can be a nice organic look. Blunting will naturally shorten your length more, the dread remains the same thickness to the end.

The loose ends or long tails can really vary in length. It creates a nice soft flowing look and can be great for the partial dread lovers so that the dreads integrate with the remaining hair.
